Join us March 1 for the Zooming of Grievances!
An online late-winter Festivus comedy event with permission to sweat the small stuff, featuring Adult Swim's Jo Firestone, SNL's Katie Rich, Nora McInerny, and others!
Hi everyone,
In December 2020 I felt verrrrrry lonely. I also felt like I was thisclose to losing my mind from all the little stuff that had built up, but which I didn’t feel justified complaining about against all the larger awful stuff going on. Sound familiar?
And so along with some amazing comedians, I produced a virtual “Zooming of Grievances” on Festivus (December 23) as a way to provide a channel for us all to get super petty and open our relief valves. It was a terrific night, and now the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan has offered to host the second round of this wacky idea.
Yet again, it’s been a long winter, and on top of a long two years. So join us for an evening solely about sweating the small stuff that's built up. Spouse not emptying the lint trap? Neighbor stopped picking up dog poop when it snows? Friend keeps saying “for all intensive purposes”? All valid.
Your pettiest grievances will be read (anonymously!) and reacted to by a dream lineup of comedians: UCB's Jason Gore; The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s Michael Cruz Kayne; Joe Pera Talks with You’s Jo Firestone; Disney’s Joanna Hausmann; Terrible, Thanks for Asking host Nora McInerny; and Saturday Night Live and Chicago Party Aunt’s Katie Rich. They have a few of their own gripes, too, and you’ll be able to share any commentary in the chat section.
This is a fun one, friends, and a GREAT way for us to connect virtually and share how the world at large is disappointing us in small ways, from wherever in the world you are! And yes, I know Festivus is in December, but what is time these days. So grab your pole and see you online Tuesday, March 1 at 7:30 pm EST.
